Key Takeaways

Message Central has launched V3 of Verify Now, its SMS verification provider. There have been multiple product enhancements in this update along with customizable OTP timeouts.

What is a Customizable OTP Timeout?

With this feature, you can adjust the timings for which an OTP once sent, will be valid for input. Enterprises will be able to set the validity period of the OTP based on their security needs and user experience preferences.

Elements of Customizable OTP Timeout

  1. You can set the OTP validity between 20 seconds and 300 seconds.
  2. Once the set time period expires, the option to “Resend OTP” will be enabled.
  3. You’d get to customize OTP timeout period after you have made a top up. There’s no restriction on a minimum amount of top up.

How to Implement Customizable OTP Timeout?

  1. Make a top up with any amount of your preference. There’s no restriction of the minimum amount to be paid. You can even make a payment of $1 if you only want to test the service first.
  2. Once done, on the left panel, you can go to Getting Started> Verify a User
  3. You’d land on “Try with UI”
  4. You can simply edit the validity time as shown in the screen below: -
